Happy Spring 2022!

Here we go again! Scott’s all tapped in and we’re collecting sap!

We still have lots of snow on the ground. Tapping wasn’t too bad. Scott needed snowshoes, and if he sank in a rotten spot, he hit the layer of ice below that’s been there for weeks. That was a bit treacherous in our steep sugar woods. 

The weather coming up during these next few days seems pretty good for sap: cold nights and warm days with a rain event in the middle of it all. We’ll see what the trees say. Stay tuned! We’ll be boiling soon.
