Check out conditions on the Rogart Mtn Trail.  This is part of the Gully Lake Wilderness Trail system created + maintained by Cobequid Eco-trail Society

  • go HERE for their excellent tips on back country hiking + snowshoeing
  • tell Staff at Sugar Moon if you see any downed trees/branches on the trail + we will pass that on

NOTE if you haven't done Rogart Mtn Trail before, know that although it is only 6.2 km, it is a serious wilderness trail and gains quite a bit of elevation. It can take 2 - 3 hours to complete, or longer if breaking trail. Don't underestimate! Follow the usual safety instructions one would follow before wilderness snowshoeing.

The trail is mostly clear of snow (a little at the top) and is very muddy! Folks are loving their hikes in spite of the wet....coming back with muddy hiking boots and big grins.
