Lots of syrup, back to cold!

11:58 pm

Great boil yesterday!

It' s looking like there won't be any sap this weekend. We're watching the weather for next week.

What a whirlwind it's been! In just about 14 days we went from having no taps to being all tapped in and having made 30% of an average crop.

Quite a start to the 2017 sugar season!

Hi from St. John's! We started tapping last week as well....and it has come to a stop but it will warm up in a day or two. Our Friends of Pippy Park has started a Maple Grove which is in its infancy so we will see how it goes this season. I just had some of last years syrup on some frozen yoghurt...yummy!
