Pretty crazy how much snow there is. We don't think it's been this deep at this time of year since...
we moved here 20 years ago. We've been stormed in since Saturday night, but hey - we're used to it now!
The Alex MacDonald Road is not passable yet. We're assuming the good folks at Dept of Transportation will come through and have us plowed out in time to open tomorrow, Tuesday at 10. You can have all-day-breakfast, sugar camp tours, sugar on snow, maple tasting and awesome snowshoeing. Just call first before coming! 1-866-816-2753.
Scott has tapped 25% of our sugar woods so far. Still quite a ways to go. Should be interesting tomorrow when he goes out on snowshoes; we hope the snow will be pretty firm so that he doesn't sink too far.
Samara? Still sick on the couch, poor thing! Eating, laughing and playing a little, but still exhausted. Sympathies for all the families that have dealt with this nasty flu.
Wishing all the Nova Scotia sugarmakers good luck and better weather as we all tackle this crazy spring.
