11:00 am A Spring Sugar Woods Walk with Gary Saunders. Artist, Writer, Forester
12:30 pm Maple Syrup Taste Education with Quita (Sugar Moon Farm)
2:00 pm performance by The Wilderbeats The Wilderbeats are Joyce Saunders (Gary Saunder's daughter) and Shannon Lynch, two Nova Scotian musicians who share a background in youth-focused environmental education. As Wilderbeats, they write and perform interactive songs about nature for the young and young-at-heart.
Plan on bringing the whole family for this event. Get outside in the spring woods, taste the maple season 2013, enjoy tasty pancakes and enjoy and fun and lively musical performance! The concert will be in the "wood bay" and will cost $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. RSVP.

The Maple Sugar Rush Trail Run:
A Run on the Rogart Mtn Trail for all Ages

The event will be a trail run with a choice of one or two loops; each loop is 6.2 km. There will also be a kids fun run with various distances based upon age group. The trail run will start by the Sugar Moon Farm and will venture along the Rogart Mountain Trail.

There will be a pancake meal after the race!! This is included in the race fee.

This event is being organized by Jeff Addison (passionate trail runner and father of up and coming little runner) and his team of volunteers and sponsors.

Join us between 9 am and 5 pm for our new "late Spring" menu when we re-introduce double smoked bacon, blueberry pancakes, shirred eggs, fritattas and Sugar Moon Maple Ale 2013 from Garrison's.

Go to the Cape to Cape page to view maps and descriptions. these trails are part of a "cape to cape" 400+ km volunteer-built footpath...and then come and get a map and sign in at Sugar Moon! The Rogart Trail starts and ends in our parking lot and is an absolutely stunning and invigorating 6.2 km hike through ever changing wilderness. The trails across Hwy 311 are lovely and varied as well.

Bring a group, hike the trail and end the outing with our delicious and satisfying brunch.
