Sleigh Rides & Snowshoes 2010
SLEIGH RIDES at SUGAR MOON FARM
We are a small family-run farm; Scott (our sugar maker) is also the one who drives the sleigh. We have one team of horses and one sleigh...so here's what we offer:
The sleigh seats around 16 people and we have one team of friendly Clydesdales - Gordie and Jiggs. The trip is approximately 20 minutes through the woods.
We normally book Saturdays and Sundays between 11 am and 1 pm until around the middle of February (when Sugar Season prep kicks in).
We have a minimum charge for hooking up the sleigh and running it - $30 per trip for customers of the restaurant (e.g. 10 adults $3 each, etc.)
We supply blankets to sit on; however, we suggest that you bring blankets to put over you. Bundle up! It's often much colder and snowier up here in the Cobequid Mountains.
Please keep in mind that we are working with live animals and changeable weather/trail conditions; booking changes may occur as late as the day of your visit.

SNOWSHOES
We have 9 pairs of snowshoes for rental. The cost is $5 per hour for adults and $3 per hour for kids 12 and under.
We recommend that you call or email ahead to reserve.
This time of year you need snowshoes in order to hike to the sugar woods or the Rogart Mountain Trail. It's a great way to enjoy the winter weather!
