"Sugarbush Spring" - one of several beautiful books available to teachers and parents at Sugar Moon Farm

We welcome classes from Primary to Grade 12 and beyond to experience our maple syrup operation.

We offer a two to three hour School Package that includes an educational tour of the sugar camp, a self-guided hiking trail to the sugar woods, Wholegrain Buttermilk Pancakes and Maple Syrup with orange juice (tea/coffee for the adults) and Sugar on Snow.

We can also provide the whole classic Sugar Moon meal (pancakes, sausages, maple baked beans & biscuit plus beverage) - please inquire re prices.

We can accommodate anywhere from 20 to 100 - a typical school booking is two classes of 20 to 30 students per class, two teachers and adult supervisors.

We've hosted classes from Colchester County, Truro, Pictou County, Hants County, Halifax County and Halifax, as well as International groups and Community College classes from all over the province and beyond.

The cost for elementary school children (Grades primary to 6) is $7 per person (txes in) for two classes (usually 40 kids plus adults), and $8 (txes in) for 1 class (usually 20+ kids plus adults). This includes a sugar camp tour, a self-guided hike to the sugar woods, whole grain buttermilk pancakes and maple syrup and a beverage and sugar on snow. Ask about prices for older grades.

We send out a product list in advance so that students, staff and parents can purchase maple products in advance to minimize "shopping" during the experience.

It's not too early to book for the busy spring season. Call or email now to reserve your class trip in Spring 2010(March-April-May).

"As grade two teachers we have taken our classes to Sugar Moon for the past four years. We love it and the students love it! It is informative, interactive and inspiring. Years after, our students who have moved on to higher grades still fondly recall their trip to Sugar Moon."
